NYC Mayoral Race: June 22nd

Next Tuesday, New Yorkers go to the polls to vote on NYC's next mayor. Three frontrunners have emerged (

Eric Adams, Andrew Yang, and Kathryn Garcia), but it's still anyone's race considering this vote will feature a run-off / ranked voting system and a substantial number of voters are still undecided. Juneteenth is Now an Official Holiday

Juneteenth is officially being recognized as a National Holiday. What started as a remembrance and celebration of freedom from slavery has now turned into a bill that President Biden signed into law this week. The private and public sector will now observe June 19th as a National Holiday (or the next nearest weekday- like today!) (Full Story)
