Millions still pausing home payments

About 2.7 million homeowners are still postponing their mortgage payments, slowing economic recovery. The number of borrowers delaying payments peaked at 8.5% in June, steadily dropped to 5.5% by November, and it hasn't budged since then. Now, economists are worried that the numbers could go up again as job growth sees new resistance. (Full Story)

Last Year in De Blasio's NYC

In his final State of the City speech, Mayor Bill de Blasio set the goal of restoring & surpassing 2020 employment levels, which is a tall order considering NYC lost 900,000 since March. The NYC Small Business Recovery Tax Credit would offer $50 million in rental assistance for up to 17,000 small businesses in hard-hit industries like the arts and hospitality.
