Biden's $1.9T Economic Rescue Package

In the wake of last week's violent coup attempt and a historic 2nd impeachment, good news is finally here. Yesterday, President-elect Joe Biden announced a $1.9 trillion economic rescue package that includes bigger stimulus checks, more aid for the unemployed, the hungry & those facing eviction, additional support for small businesses, states and local governments, & increased funding for vaccinations/testing. Because of this package, along with the Democratic sweep in the Senate (that we didn't even have time to cover), Goldman Sachs projects a 6.4% increase in GDP in 2021 and Morgan Stanley projects a 5.9%. Meanwhile an alarming 700,000-800,000 people are filing for unemployment benefits each week, a staggering 2.5x the normal rate. (Full Story)
