The Dow Drops After Powell Speaks—and What Else Happened in the Stock Market

The stock market couldn’t hold on to gains Wednesday, even after Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell told lawmakers that a slower pace of interest rate hikes is possible. Markets are just too dour for the gains to have lasted. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 47 points, or 0.2%, while the S&P 500 dropped 0.1%, and the (Full Story)
