Early August saw a subdued week with just 9 contracts signed for properties priced above $4 million, marking the slowest week since September 2023. However, activity bounced back the following week with 22 contracts signed, showing resilience despite the summer heat and typical seasonal slowdowns.

Futures Dip As Investors Await Inflation Report

U.S. stock futures declined slightly following record highs on Thursday, as traders awaited the release of the PCE inflation report, a key Fed inflation gauge that could affect future rate cut decisions.

Dow futures dipped 0.28%, S&P 500 futures eased 0.24%, and Nasdaq-100 futures slid 0.43%.(Full Story)

Core Inflation Rose 2.9%

Core inflation rose to 2.9% year-over-year in July - it's highest level in 5 months and above expectations. This increase reflects continued upward pressure from tariffs and higher costs in transportation and housing sectors. The data adds complex-ity to the Federal Reserve’s outlook on interest rates, reinforcing the possibility of maintaining tighter policy for longer to tame inflation risks. (Read Full)
