New York Rent Reaches a Record High

Median rent was $4,241 in April, up 1.6% from March and 8.1% from April last year. Landlords are also offering fewer concessions, dropping to their lowest level since November 2019. Brooklyn and Northwest Queens also had record highs in April. If this isn't yet another reason to buy right now, I don't know what is! (Read More)

Stocks Slide After Republicans 'Press Pause' on Debt Ceiling Talks

Stocks fell Friday as the ongoing debt ceiling debate in Washington hit a stalling point.

The S&P 500 fell 0.19%, while the DJI dropped more than 100 points, or 0.33% at the close. The tech- heavy Nasdaq fell 0.24%.

However, these indexes are up overall 1.68% on average last week. (Read More)

A ‘Field of Light’ Installation Is About To Brighten Up Manhattan’s East Side

New York is about to get more lit—literally. Scheduled to open in Fall 2023 for a yearlong residence, English-Australian artist Bruce Monro is bringing his “Field of Light” public art installation to Manhattan’s East Side. The immersive piece will transform more than 6 acres, from 38th to 41st St. on 1st Ave, at the mixed-use Freedom Plaza space near the United Nations HQ. (Read More)
