Martin's response: Generally speaking high net worth individuals (celebrity or not) command privacy. While the new LLC disclosure law may seem a victory for the left and an attack on the wealthy, those in-the-know are always ahead of the curve. Wealthy and celebrity people who create an LLC assign "a consent" with the LLC (usually their attorney or business manager). As such, the name and contact info of the consent is seen with the LLC such as Mr. John Smith of On-top-of-it law firm. Client attorney privilege can be cited and the true owner not revealed. The super-rich (100M+ will have the LLC that owns a property owned by an off-shore LLC. This is even more secretive.
