Here’s What To Expect In The Housing Market This Year

The 30-year fixed-rate mortgage averaged 6.27% as of last week, according to data released by Freddie Mac. That’s down 4 basis points from the previous week. Rates have dropped for the sixth week in a row. Rates were last at this level in mid-September. Last week, the 30-yr was at 6.31%. Last year, the 30-year was averaging at 3.05%. (Full Story)

Stocks Rally On December Jobs Report

The Labor Department's final jobs report of 2022 showed the U.S. economy added 223,000 payrolls last month while the unemployment rate fell to 3.5%. Economists had expected readings of 200,000 and 3.7%, respectively. The S&P 500 jumped 1.7%, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average added 550 points, and Nasdaq advanced 1.5%. (Full Story)
