Declining US Inflation Paves Way For Rate Cuts In Coming Months

A rapid fall in US inflation has opened the way for interest rate cuts within months, the OECD said, but it warned that Britain would suffer from the G7's fastest price growth.The OECD's interim outlook, published on Monday, predicted US inflation of just 2.2 percent in 2024 and 2 percent in 2025 among the lowest rates in the G7. Prada, Gucci parent companies among those spending hundreds of millions of dollars for Fifth Avenue properties from their landlords, flush with massive recent profits fueled by luxe-flation. In NYC, Prada recently agreed to buy the building that houses its Fifth Avenue store as well as the building next door for more than $800 million. Gucci’s parent company, Kering, is also paying nearly $1 billion for a 115,000-square-foot retail space a few blocks south. (Read More)
