Wall Street Ends August With A Whimper On Fed Worry

August didn't end well for the US stocks on Wall Street as they witnessed their fourth straight daily decline on Wed. This is their weakest performance in August in 7 years. Adding to pressure were declines in the technology sector, and more specifically chipmakers, after soft forecasts from Seagate and HP Inc.

NYC Continues To Be The Priciest City To Rent An Apartment

When it comes to real estate in New York, nothing surprises us anymore. So when we learn that, "New York City remains the priciest city in the nation," We just smile and move on with our day. According to the study, the median rent price for a one-bedroom in New York has reached $3,930 that’s actually a record high for any city in the U.S.

Although August Ended in A Slump, September May Boom

After a week in which much of the action in markets anticipated this morning's release of August jobs numbers, the numbers arrived. Markets seemed pleased -- for a while.

315,000

jobs were added in August, a slower but still solid pace in a tight labor market. The un-employment rate is at 3.7%. (Full Story)
