Mortgage Rates Are Suddenly Going Up Again. Why?

The 30-year-fixed rate jumped to 6.90% last week, up from 6.86% a week earlier and its highest level since July. Despite the increase, overall mortgage loan application volume ticked up by 1.7% on a weekly basis. What’s driving this rise in mortgage rates? Wall Street Gains Ground For A Winning Week and Crypto at All Time Highs

Stocks rose trading on Wall Street Friday, giving the market its fifth weekly gain in a row.

The S&P 500 was up 0.3% and was solidly on track for a weekly gain that will erase most of last week's loss.

The Dow climbed 352 points, or 0.8%, and the Nasdaq composite rose 0.1%. Crypto is also at record highs with Bitcoin currently trading over at 97,000. (Read More)
